A devoted disciple of Late Pandit Mohan Lal Ji Mishra of the illustrious Benaras Gharana, she underwent over 20 years of rigorous training under his sacred guidance through the guru-shishya parampara. She holds an M.A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati University (University Topper, 1996) and Sangeet Praveen from Allahabad (1992). An All India Radio B-High Grade artist for over 30 years, she is also a respected judge at classical music competitions across India. Based in Kolkata, she continues to perform as a leading Bhajan Singer and classical vocalist for weddings, Vedic Phera ceremonies, ladies sangeet and prayer meets across Kolkata, Salt Lake, New Town, Howrah and across West Bengal.
Over 35 years of mastery in Khayal and semi-classical music under the Benaras Gharana. An All India Radio B-High Grade artist for 30+ years, her performances carry the depth and discipline of the guru-shishya parampara.
