A devoted disciple of the late Pandit Mohan Lal Ji Mishra of the illustrious Benaras Gharana, she received over 20 years of training under his sacred guidance through the guru-shishya parampara. Holding an M.A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati University (University Topper, 1996) and Sangeet Praveen from Allahabad (1992), she is also an All India Radio B-High Grade artist for over 30 years and a respected judge at classical music competitions across the country.
